How many Litters of Kittens can a female cat have in a lifetime if not spayed?

Have you ever wondered how many litters of kittens a cat can have?

Well here are some basic numbers to show how fast cat populations can get out of hand.

The average number of litters a fertile cat can produce in one year is 3.

The average number of kittens in a feline litter is 4–6.

In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats.

Only 1 in 12 of those 420,000 cats born find a home. :o(

Even if you found homes for all your cats, you are still taking away homes that other homeless cats could have had by adding to the population.

There are no excuses for your allowing a pet cat to have kittens.

Please Spay your cat!!!!

    1. Hi

If you’ve got a cat that keeps peeing all over your house, it becomes annoying after a while.

The bad smells and the effort involved in cleaning up makes life a misery.

So much so that some people consider getting rid of their cat...

Cuz that seems to be the only logical way to solve the problem.

But the great news is you don’t have to do this.

You CAN keep your cat and stop the problem.

      How?

All you have to do is try “Cat Spraying No More”.

It’s a PROVEN step-by-step system guaranteed to stop your cat peeing outside its litter box.

You’ll discover how to use your cat’s own instincts to stop the problem.

And it’s also backed up by a 60-day money back guarantee, so there’s no risk.

    1. Most rescues have a return policy too! You don't need to go to a breeder. Please rescue. Breeders are just adding to the problem of overpopulation.

    2. Sorry, but this is really stupid comment.
A cat pee everywhere when he/she is in season! Castration solves the problem!
Also, cats need special contaner, called cat toilet, that must be cleaned daily (removing the excrements). If you do that your cat won't soil the house.

  4. And Neuter!!! It takes a male and a female to make the kittens...!!!!

  5. Good grief! Are these people for real? Spayed cats don't poop? If cats don't poop, it's because they're sick. See a vet! Cat piss smells better if you get a cat from a breeder? Really?! What an ignorant comment! Cat piss smells if you don't clean the box regularly. Get your pets spayed and neutered and quit making such dumb excuses for not doing so. Amazing how many numb skulls there are out there...SCARY!

    3. (1). Cat piss smells stronger if the cat isn't spayed or neutered; it doesn't matter if the cat comes from a breeder or your next door neighbor. (2). You should have 1 more kitty litter box than the number of cats you have. 1 cat, 2 boxes; 2 cats, 3 boxes, etc. (3). Use litter with no added scent. Cats don't like scented litter.

  8. Perfect "Excuse" why cats were meant to have kittens: If they didn't you wouldn't have the one you love so much! Eventually they would be extinct. They were not meant to breed!! How would you like it if someone was to breed you!! Over and over again? Stray or adopted grab it up and love it!! I have a tortoiseshell cat. She was a young stray when I took her in. She's had a litter.I still have an elderly woman who emails and sends pics a few times each year of my cat's son she named Anubis. My favorite pic is of him and his friend Squirrel. :) That's another perfect "excuse" why cats have kittens. Other methods need to be used and thought of . Eventually if everyone immediately spayed their pet we would be hunting for wild and rare animals.

    1. It's almost impossible that this would ever happen.
If you are curious as to why we push spay and neuter procedures....check out any of your local shelters. Or better yet, give them a call and see how they feel when they have to euthanize any of the current population due to over-capacity.

  9. I have spent the last few days trapping and delivering kittens a stray cat has been harbouring in my backyard. Four have been delivered to good homes, and two are left to be caught. The Mother Cat is VERY angry with me, and I thought that since she appears to be nursing is it better to leave the 8 or 10 week old kittens with her for awhile. If so for how long before the kittens become too wild and cannot be domesticated?

    4. You or your Vet can cut your cat's claws with special clippers, but it has to be done every month or so; cats do not have to be permanently declawed.

  13. There are cats in almost every house where I live and the owners all let them roam to poop in everyones gardens and I have 3 that pee all over the front of my home...I DO NOT HAVE A CAT. I am so disgusted that I have to go out and clean this continuously. I have a huge dog, but she does not do her business on any ones property but her own. People who own cats need to get a grip.

    1. Some people actually think it's cruel to keep cat's indoors which is ridiculous. Then people cry when their pet gets run over or poisoned by a crazy neighbor. Responsible owners keep cats in the house or supervised on a harness

      Delete
    2. A responsible owner will take that chance and let their cat go out and explore like it is in their instinct to do so. Imagine you being locked inside a house all of your life, it would drive you mentally insane and it would do the same to cats. Every house cat I have ever came across hasn't been friendly as they have no social skills and have gone crazy from being inside 24/7. Anyone who poisons a cat is absolutely out of their mind, that is totally sick and cat owners shouldn't have to worry about their cat being poisoned deliberately. It is cruel beyond belief to keep a cat indoors and that is not ridiculous in the slightest.

      Delete
    3. You have no idea what you are talking about. Indoor cats live longer and healthier lives than outdoor cats. And if they never experrience the outdoors, they will not care about going outside if they are fixed. It is the unaltered cats that go crazy trying to get out. And being kept indoors has nothing to do with how trusting they are with people. Actually, it is the opposit. As long as they were socialized well when young and never abused, they are usually very content with people. All 3 of my "indoor" cats greet anyone that comes to the door and insists on being pet. And cats aren't us. They don't know or care about what goes on outside of their home. So it is ridiculous to compare the way we would think about never being able yo go outside.

  16. I had a stray cat that had kittens under my house as soon as I realized it I got the mom cat abd litter and brought them in the house. One of the kittens died at age of 5 days old one is healthy and one has a condition called cerebellum hypoplasia. I found a low cost clinic in my area who is helping me take care of my special needs kitty.the kittens are 6 weeks old and are still partially nursing on the mother and she is pregnant again. I'm keeping the two I have now and letting the mother have the kittens abd have found a no kill animal shelter that fixes them and will adopt them out. But I wouldn't take the two back I have. My lil special needs kitty has stolen my heart

  17. hmm, there is nothing wrong with breeding cats, ad besides guess who creates stray cats? humans, and nature. and some cats are driven mad by being spayed, taking in any thing that resembles that of a kit. and you can always fix the problem by keeping your female cats inside instead of having an outdoor she

  19. BY about times of child giving, the human and cat can have same amount of maximum times in life they can give birth (about 57 - for now record for human is over 30 times of life giving... probably there is no cat who has had more times.. but who knows... maybe)
Matters little, that cat has 4-7 kitties, one human is using more or about same amount of resources then 7 cats . (oldest women giving birth was 70... one 65+ years old bring to life three kids.. )

In a nest, if human is not interfering, the male cat will eliminate the to many kitties ... sad but,, they will not starve them self as humans, as smarter animals.. specially in THEIR world..

  23. My beautiful cat went into heat over the weekend. My male cat got a hold of her which was the plan. (Wanted her to at least have one litter before being fixed ) But he got her like 15 times. I've had cats my whole life. But she isn't full grown which is what scares me. I know she's got 66 days to grow but I'm scared she won't be big enough. I didn't want him getting her the first time but I kept putting him in the bathroom and he kept getting out. Please tell me she ain't going to have a lot of kittens. I don't want her to die.
